Southern Cassina Point Wedding | Charleston Wedding Photographer

When I think of Jenny and Brandon’s Cassina Point wedding all I can think is joy, joy, joy, joy, joy. The anticipation in both of their faces as they got ready, watching them exchange vows with happy tears in their eyes, and the entire blissful atmosphere of their wedding day. You might think photographers don’t get emotional at your wedding but I definitely do – especially when the bride and groom are so consumed with joy to be able to spend the rest of their lives together.

And what better place for their Lowcountry wedding than Cassina Point Plantation on Edisto Island? Isn’t this plantation house just the sweetest, red roofed thing you’ve ever seen? And surrounded by big oak trees with draping Spanish moss… swoon!

Jenny was the most perfect DIY bride. From repurposed architectural elements and furniture to decorate their ceremony and reception to refashioned pieces of jewelry to complete her bridal style. The sentimentality of this wedding was a perfect fit for the vintage charm of the plantation.

So many loved ones were remembered at Brandon and Jenny’s wedding, especially Jenny’s mom who passed away just one year before their day. In Jenny’s bridal suite, she kept a photo of her mother on her parent’s wedding day. She also had a bead made for her pearl bracelet with her mother’s ashes swirled into it.

Jenny’s mom loved Edisto Island. That’s why it was so important as the location for their wedding celebration.

Brandon noticed Jenny had been obsessed over these vintage earrings so as a wedding present, he surprised her with them. The earrings are vintage hair art jewelry. Yes, you read that right. These earrings are made of real human hair!

From the moment I walked into the groom’s quarters, Brandon was such a gentleman. It’s always a good feeling when you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in to see the groom. No wonder Jenny calls him her Super Man and gave him some matching cufflinks as a wedding present.

Jenny’s mom had a front row seat for the ceremony and her father, who is a preacher, officiated their wedding and played the guitar as Jenny walked down the aisle. ❤️

After the wedding, we stopped by Botany Bay to get some sweet bride and groom shots. I love a good avenue of oaks!

For Brandon and Jenny’s reception, they stayed on the island and moved to a cozy beach house decorated in their super cute, Lowcountry style.

At sunset we snuck away to the beach for some more bride and groom shots. These two are so cute!

Brandon and Jenny’s wedding day was nothing short of perfection. Loving family and friends surrounding them, a gorgeous view, and delicious food. What a day! So glad I got to be a part of such a perfect Edisto occasion.
