Question: Do you carry backup equipment throughout the wedding day?

Answer: Yes! I always carry backup camera, lenses, batteries, memory cards, and lighting. This equipment is always accessible during the wedding day so I can capture keep capturing the moments of your wedding day.

You want your photographer to bring back up equipment for your wedding day, just in case. If their battery dies or their camera takes a tumble, they’ll be able to jump right back in!

Question: How do you backup the images from my wedding so they are not lost before they’re delivered?

Answer: As soon as I get home from your wedding I copy all of the original files to 2 different external hard drives. As an added protection, I never delete memory cards until the wedding has been edited and delivered!

Your photographer’s backup process for your wedding photos is extremely important! You need to know that if their computer crashes, they will still have a copy of your original wedding day images.

Question: Can I view a full wedding gallery before I book?

Answer: Of course! Here’s a recent gallery.

It’s important that you know what to expect from your full wedding gallery versus what you see on the photographer’s Instagram page. If they don’t want to share a gallery, it may not be a good sign.

I hope this post helps you find a photographer that’s perfect for your big day! Add these three to your list of questions to ask a wedding photographer and you’ll be totally prepared for your interviews!
