Happy Halloween everyone! Last weekend my sister, Kailyn, and I ventured out to Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site for a Halloween photo session. During this session I wanted to create a subtly spooky bridal vibe to celebrate the season and to give some inspiration to future Halloween brides.
When I say this shoot was a last minute idea, I mean we decided to do the shoot on Wednesday and we shot on Sunday. In the days before our photoshoot, I found Kailyn’s outfit at Goodwill (can you believe it?) and created a bouquet from Hobby Lobby’s floral section.
I’ve always loved Halloween and have dreamed of photographing a Halloween wedding or just a Halloween photo session for years! (If you want to schedule one, let’s talk!) I love the spooky tales and cute costumes that Halloween brings and you’ll bet I’m the first on my block to have my Halloween decorations up. Is there a more fun and exciting holiday (besides Christmas of course)?
It’s always fun when I get to do a project just for fun. While my initial dreams were much bigger, my broken arm redirected me a little bit. But overall, we had a blast challenging ourselves with such a last minute Halloween photo session and it was nice having my OG model back in front of the camera!

I hope your Halloween is spellbounding!
Are you a spooky bride? Let’s make something magical!
