What can I say about Cat and Steve’s Lowndes Grove wedding? Such modern elegance! I’m so glad to have been a part of their relaxing summer afternoon wedding.
First off, Lowndes Grove Plantation has everything! It is probably the most gorgeous wedding venue in Charleston. The gorgeous 18th century house, glass enclosed portico, and oak tree covered property were such a complement to Cat and Steve’s modern, oh so classic, southern wedding style.
And my very favorite thing about the event – THE CRANES! In the Japanese tradition when a couple gets married, it’s good luck to have a thousand paper cranes at their wedding. At Cat and Steve’s wedding, the majority of the cranes took the form of a giant chandelier mixed with greenery and hanging lightbulbs. What a beautiful piece! The rest of the cranes were strung into garlands and used as name cards.
