Ashleigh and Dewayne are married and I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from their Cypress Gardens elopement! Their wedding was a little different from the norm and I loved that Ashleigh and Dewayne made it completely their own.
You all know Cypress Gardens is one of my absolute favorite elopement venues. The black water swamp, sweet row boats, and charming cypress knees that frame every photo make this such a unique and breathtaking spot to tie the knot! Ashleigh and Dewayne’s all black wedding attire was absolutely stunning in this setting.
Ashleigh and Dewayne chose to share a private ceremony just on the bank of Cypress Gardens’ swamp, surrounded by cypress trees. Their ceremony was intimate, incredibly sweet, and had us all tearing up. It was beautiful to see their love for each other shine through their smiles and happy tears.
After their ceremony, we had a great time strolling through the park’s beautiful spaces for some couples photos. I loved playing with Ashleigh’s black cathedral veil! With the help of the overcast sky, we were able to create some of the most romantic images, with just a hint of moodiness. After taking photos around the park, Ashleigh and Dewayne climbed into one of Cypress Gardens’ iconic row boats for a few photos in the swamp.
During their portrait time, one of the Cypress Gardens staff was showing a baby alligator and offered to let the bride and groom hold it. Of course, we had to have a photo op with this cute little wedding crasher! Such a memorable moment!
Congratulations Ashleigh and Dewayne! Thank you for inviting me to capture your beautiful wedding day. I had a wonderful time photographing you both and being part of your Cypress Gardens elopement!
